Okay, I'm Chris, I enjoy things... The things I put on my journal will be photos, which will be generally for public viewing, and Art/Design, which will almost always be friends only (except fanart), because I'm paranoid that someone might steal my material. Because I am so paranoid, I can't just go around adding people to my friends list and letting them see. Sorry, only if I know you in real life. The things that I will not put my journal are serious emotions and serious oppinions about people I know. I don't feel right doing that in this kind of place; I prefer exchanging such things at least in real time (via IM) or more privately (via e-mail). Even in this electronic age I prefer the good old telephone, or best of all, seeing someone face to face.

Allright, now that that's out of the way, here's some information about me! My passions are art/design and music. These passions manifest themselves in a number of ways. In terms of art and design, I enjoy fashion design and drawing the most. I most often draw in an anime/manga inspired style, but I try to have my own unique style rather than atempting to make it look as much like anime/manga as possible. I usually work in graphite, pen (microns are best) and prismacolor markers. In terms of fashion design, my favorite styles from which to draw inspiration are that of Mod in the 1960s and contemporary Japanese designers. I also enjoy photography, and, call me a traditionalist, I have an overwhemling preference for film over digital (especially now that I have a scanner that can scan directly from photo-negatives... I have no need for digital). As for music, my instrument of choice is the bass guiar, but I also play cello, guitar, and am in the process of learning drums. I play bass and sing in a rock band with some kids at my school, and I try to write songs when the inspiration hits me... (I'm good at composing the music and whatnot but lyrics are hard... oh well, someday I'll find a collaborator)Of course, I also like listening to music. I would list all the bands I like, but when you have over a weeks worth of solid music on your computer, the list gets pretty long, so here's a smattering, in no particular order: The Beatles, David Bowie, T.Rex, Hot Snakes, The Pillows, DEVO, The White Stripes, The Smashing pumpkins, The Pixies... and many... many more. Yeah.... that's about whats interesting about me... oh yeah... I like anime and manga too, and video games. There's alot that I like, so I'll just say that my favorite anime include Escaflowne, Yami no Matsuei, and FLCL. My favorite manga is Evangelion (infinitely superior to the show), and my favorite video game is Final Fantasy VIII (yeah, that's right... eight. I really think it's the best of all of them.)Yeah... I think that's it... other than that I'm pretty boring... oh yeah and I love food.... I'm always hungry
